The Dinner Party

Over the years many youth who have called The Refuge ‘home’ have passed away. Dealing with grief can be very difficult and when the youth lose friends, often they don’t know how to grieve well. The Dinner Party was implemented several years ago to coep with grief and loss in their lives. Using a world-wide model, a dinner is hosted by The Refuge by invitation only where participants are asked to bring a food item that reminds them of their loved one. During the dinner participants talk about grief, loss and about the joys that that person brought to them. The Dinner party is hosted bi-monthly. Please consider purchasing a dinner party for one youth, the dinner party for the entire group or the dinner party for the entire group for the year.
